Adam Elliott & puppies part ways

Would he be worth signing for next year ?

Adam Elliott’s 101-game career with the Bulldogs is over despite the hard-charging middle forward having had two years left to run on his contract.

Adam Elliot’s controversial stint at the Bulldogs is over.

The Bulldogs board and Elliott have opted to mutually part ways despite two years of his $1 million contract remaining. The embattled Canterbury back-rower met with the Bulldogs board via Zoom on Monday night which lasted about 40 minutes.

Just days later he is on the lookout for a new club as he fights to save his NRL career.

It is understood the Bulldogs have agreed to pay him out the remainder of his contract for this season which expires on October 31.

Elliott was thrust into the spotlight again after being found in a toilet with NRLW star Millie Boyle on the Gold Coast last month.

He played 101 top grade games for the club.

Elliott was stood-down for the final two matches of Canterbury’s season but remained with the club in Queensland. He again found himself in the headlines after he was kicked out of the White Rhino Bar and Eats with Boyle adamant it was nothing more than “a kiss in the bathroom”.

Elliott was fined $10,000 by the NRL and ordered to undergo education and training.

He underwent minor ankle surgery last week.

Elliott was previously reprimanded for his role in the club’s 2018 Mad Monday fiasco.

There was also an incident with the wife of ex-teammate Michael Lichaa earlier this year.

Elliott has indicated he had not consumed alcohol for seven months in between the two incidents

  • The type of player BA would get the best out of if he is still coaching the eels next season.  We don't really need another back rower unless we can convince matterson to seek greener pastures.

    • Agreed. We have to many backrowers already.

  • Look out Mrs Authur.  Honestly I can't belive the backlash this blokes copped because some chick followed him into the " mens " dunnys .

    • The bit I dont understand with this is that the bird was into it. She said they were just having a kiss. Im yet to see what they did wrong.

      • The problem for him is he has history,  been in trouble a few times and already has a video doing the rounds of him having sex in a public toilet.

  • Yes please. This bloke can absolutely play. Not sure if he's a douchebag (if he is then no thanks) but he sure can play.

    • Do we need more backrowers? We are stacked in that department

      • Haha I say that with no idea of dollars. It always comes back to dollars. If we could afford him I'm sure we could find a spot for him. Elliot is above average quality.

        • He would be trying to resurrect his career,  he would be reasonably cheap on a 1 year deal. If he is cheap enough he would be worth picking up even if he is surplus to needs.

          • No chance HKF. If Moses and Brown are fit, BA will pick Jake the broom stick in any available position.

As it stands he is the tallest, lightest & slowest number 7 in the comp. Imagine  the impact he would have as the weakest winger or forward with the most minnus contact metres in the competition.

But wait there's more. His younger son is coming thru the grades at break neck speeds like his bro did... who's next? If BA's 73 year old dad can shake his arthritis he starts in the centres in 2022.
