Do we want Doueihi at Parramatta? On the plus side he's a great defensive player and has a good running game. He gives 100% in every game I've seen him in and is a very experienced player. 6 or lock are his best positions.
On the negative, what happened with him and the Tigers and not wanting to play a certain position is a very bad look. The last player who didn't want to play for his mates was Matterson, and he's been a dud ever since. Also, Doueihi has had 2 or three ACL injuries, thats concerning.
Its probably between Parramatta and the bears who are most desperate for a 6. The Chief's are getting Munster.

While Luai and Moses are starting Doueihi would have to play elsewhere and he won't be leaving the Tigers to do that.
Id be more than pleased to get him but it will be to play in the halves.
The playing halves thing could just be a convenient excuse for him to agitate for a release. There was something on one of the Triple M shows that there was more to it, favouritism towards certain players, standards not being upheld, etc.
Would be a handy pick up a) for the right price, but that is assuming there is cap space for 27 for him if the Eels are interested...
And considering Moses is out for half a season with injuries normally, there is cover for the position if Volk exits

Sorry Seraph but people use the "Moses could be out with injuries anyway" claim to make the prospect of a player not playing in the halves as possibly playing in the halves. How can you know Moses doesn't play a full season?
Kimmorley should have kept that in house. That probably happens more than fans think and probably happens when a player isn't happy in a position. Kimmorley has nothing to gain from this, and he's ambition to be a head coach may have taken a hit imo
He ain't ever going to get a full-time NRL gig. Both NRL and NRLW jobs he failed in. He has nothing to gain but also nothing to lose.
Kimmorley never said the outcome of his dealings with Doueihi. It isn't uncommon for players to plead their case to coaches to play in preferred positions or even to promote someone they feel they play better with and it happens regularly.
It is how they deal with it when told no and Kimmorley didn't elaborate if he Doueihi played the new role or stood himself down that I saw.
Hey LB, no arguments here. Moses might, he might not. All I was pointing out is, with Moses' injury history, age, likelihood of representative selection, Volkman testing the market and potentially not being available as a back up if/when Moses is unavailable, he would be a handy as a cover and if he would be content playing in another position until a halves position becomes available.
A lot of if's in all of it. My main point was moreso the fact it was reported that the AD dummy spit for not playing in the halves had more going on behind the scenes at the Tigers than just not playing where he wanted
Oh him and Benji have had issues, and perhaps playing Lock was his final straw. But at the same time it was still a factor and if he can get a spot to be 7 elsewhere he would take it.
I know what you mean in that having coverage for Moses instead of Fletcher or Talataina is crucial. It's a hard part as both those kids need game time. But also need a replacement Halfback too.
Doueihi playing say Lock or Centre makes sense to cover but just feel we won't get him to play other positions. Only way I can see it happening is due to Luai only being here for a year. At least there is a path.
