A weird situation we find ourselves in

This week we play Canberra at home, a week after losing to Penrith away. It's a weird situation for this 2022 parramatta team because across the season proper we would have beat penrith away in such a scenario and then be huge favourites a week later against a team like canberra at home and get beat. Now, the finals come around and we have to find a way to do the opposite of what we have done all year. This one is nearly impossible to pick. What Parramatta team will show up? Despite losing to penrith we actually weren't "that" bad. I mean it wasn't the parramatta that played west tigers (the first time) or bulldogs (the first time) or struggled with the titans both times (yes we did). Sadly, maybe "that" parramatta is actually due to turn up this week.

      • Wasn't directed at you mate, a running joke with another member.

        • Oh haha nah it annoys me when people can't spell. It never used to, but I'm getting old.

  • We won't get beaten on effort in a knock out final. Another consistent pattern we have had all year, with the exception of last week and the Bunnies game is that, when the big moment comes, we meet it head on and get the chocolates.

We'll win this week, if Moses plays. If not, I still give us a decent chance

  • We'll win this week.
Raiders will come to play but they play ugly and usually gift easy ball through dumb errors. If we stay focused and in the grind we'll be too much for them.

    • If BA can't get the team to play to their best for the rest of the finals series, he is a fake.

No bullshit this time Parra, just do what has to be done ffs.

        • This game is most certainly the biggest of BA's career to date.

Anything other than a strong performance is an abysmal failure.

  • Blake aside I thought we played pretty good too, at least until the wheels fell off. As far Canberra it all comes down to Moses playing. He plays, which I think he will, we should win.

Canberra have had a soft run in, and Melbourne were well off their best.

  • I said 4 or 5 weeks ago, it will be a souths vs Eels GF I'm still sticking to it!

W Blake not catching those bombs had a lot to do with the loss. Raiders will target him again. I thought we matched them in the forwards, just those errors from Blake that cost us, doesn't matter, still think we can get there!

I thought we played pretty good in the conditions I thought we lost our focus once Moses went off, maybe blake gets dropped?and put Russell onto wing, who is very good under the high ball, opacic is a good defender he may help Russell out.

BA needs to use and pick a better bench.

Eels will win by 12pts  I'm even that confident that I would rest Moses this week, and play JA at 7. And tell Dylan brown to control the game more

eels are 3rd favourites to win title at $7

    cowboys $5.50

    Penrith $1.95
