    • I could make some comment about how DK accesses said music, but I'll leave that to him. As is mentioned further along in this blog, copyright is probably an issue and it's best for him to comment.
  • Great work. Thanks
  • 60s, just read your article on club culture, its really well written mate, especially the last bit about the fans.

Can we get a link to your site on this site? Theres no competition for Phil and the sites could bounce off each other, maybe a link set up in the 1ee groups section on the front page, it would spark peoples memories including mine to visit your site.

    cheers

    • Thanks for the compliment. We're not trying to be like 1ee as you stated Snake as we are not a forum. People can add comments to each article but you can't post your own blogs as such (down the track we will add other writers). As for having a link, that would be Phil's call and we certainly don't want to tread on any toes there.
  • Bwahahahaha at the music, its got the mid 70s porn vibe going on lol

Id like to see some music similar to the soundtrack of Alby Mangels world safari, a few sneaky pan flutes and pipes thrown in, Ben Crop and Harry Butler were also experts of this island hopping adventure music, im a BIG fan.

  • Ive gotta be honest 60s, its really disappointing to see all the great articles youve written not on this site with all the great talk they would have generated, its a real loss for 1ee imo but at the same time its great to see you doing your own thing, im just disappointed that great content is lost to here and also lost is the great dialog that would have followed.

    cheers

    • Maybe the criticism of his previous blogs on here is why he's posting there. Ie the idiots can't bring him down.

And no, I don't mean you.
  • Great stuff Sixties - looking forward to the full interview - and great article too mate.

As with the other boys who have already commented I too am a big fan of the music used.

Would love to see something like Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield used in the future. Massive fan of the glockenspiel right here.

Also, the Shaft theme song by Isaac Hayes would make for sensational background music :)))

    Cheers champion!

    • Thing is you need permission from the artists who wrote the tunes or they can sue you. It is better if you got some local band to play the music, a cheesy 70s  cover band or an original band but you'll need permission. Here's a website that has royality free music-Incomtech.com and they got great music that you can use for eff all. I used one this year for a short horror film I made and am willing to put it up on this site but it's not footy related...anyway, try that site because I like the I/Vs, well put together but be careful of the music rights

  • Fantastic website and huge congrats to both 60s and DK. Players such as the bear, sterlo, price and co put everything into playing for our club and are a big part of the reason why the x gen and baby boomers love the eels so much and have passed this on to our kids. 12 months ago I was on hols at Wooli and ended up having a great chat with Kevin stumpy Stevens. Not a parra legend as such although he did play for us in the 81 GF. His experiences, one liners and overall respect for jack Gibson were nothing short of sensational. Looking forward to the interviews and well done to both of you
