"Nathan Cleary on path to being one of the greatest half-backs of all time". - NRL 360 - Fox League. Surely they jest? The Panthers win a premiership and controversially at that and now their team and players are bigger than sliced bread and their half back hailed to be the heading as one of the greatest of all time. Its bad enough the Panthers winning but this takes the cake.

I believe he is on that track. I don't think it is ridiculous at all. Honestly, most people are jealous of how good he is for his age. No one is saying he is or will be the best player/halfback ever. Just that he is on track. His kicking game was so good against Rabbits. Probabaly what won them the game. Forced line drop outs or forced bunnies to come from their own end (where they struggled to gain any field position). Panthers will constantly be a good team due to their juniour systems bringing in good players every year. With Cleary in there and he only being 24 years old he is on track. He is only going to get better. He may still have 10 great years left in him.
I wanted soufs to win so badly, but without cleary's kicking game they lose. He was magnificent. Easily the ccm winner. Every single one of his kicks were perfect. They all floated towards the try line but always clear of it to not force a 20m restart.
Same I wanted souths to win. Was really annoyed PenRef won. But Cleary's kicking game was exceptional.
It wasn't Cleary's kicking game that was so great but rather Souths inability or lack of urgency to put pressure on Cleary's kicking. He could of just about baked a cake he had that much time.
I'm not jealous of Nathan Cleary's achievements one iota. I seriously think that the statement is ridiculous and not warranted no matter what age he is or what he's achieved which isn't that much in comparison with some of the really great number 7's.
Mate he has already won an origin series and a premiership and he is only 24 this year.
Andrew Johns won his first title in his 23rd birth year for reference - so Cleary is only 1 year behind him.
He is already one of the best technically. In terms of his ability to control a game and his temperament he may the best ever. Is he the quickest - no. Does he possess the most incredible vision and timing of his pass like a cliff Lyons - no. Is he exciting to watch? I don't really think so. But there is no doubting his control and technical skills.
Personally, if it came down to a choice between Cleary and Moses as things currently stand, I would take Cleary every day of the week. Not one of the greatest yet, but has the potential to become one. Sorry if I offend anyone, but that is how I see it at this time comparing the two players in terms of talent, consistency and stepping up when it counts!
Isn't it sad right now just how shit the quality of halfback are for the game. We were once full of creative little halves and the game was super exciting . Now they're all just poo. Kick , kick , kick , kick ,kick.
Read it again. Thought it was pretty clear for anyone that can understand English. Off your high horse dude, and try to understand. It was pretty simply worded.
