Hi, why do treat fans of this great game so badly? There appears to be no transparency regarding the NRL administration. I can anecdotally tell you it is just not the Eels fans that find the NRL administration including the so-called Integrity Unit biased and have no credibility.
I will give one small example but shows the depth of the NRL's contempt for fans and members of the clubs.
On the Thu 11 Apr 2013, 4:00 pm NRL.com the NRL website published the article "FAIRPLAY - The NRL Integrity Hotline". http://www.nrl.com/fairplay--the-nrl-integrity-hotline/tabid/10874/newsid/71683/default.aspx
"As part of its ongoing commitment to integrity measures, the NRL is working with clubs to develop procedures for an Integrity Hotline – a project that was flagged earlier this year along with the establishment of a dedicated Rugby League Integrity and Compliance Unit.
At the heart of the proposal is the simple philosophy that if something needs to be addressed then the code will have the courage to do so.
Whistle-blower lines, as they are often called, are an important part of government and business practices. Leading Australian companies including Telstra, Coles and Westpac use whistle-blower lines as part of their integrity procedures along with government agencies.
The FAIRPLAY line is designed to protect Rugby League. It encourages the reporting of any matter that may harm the game’s reputation or that of the NRL, the Clubs and the players.
FAIRPLAY allows for anyone to come forward in a protected environment that is governed by established procedures laid down by Standards Australia.
In working to develop this policy with Clubs, the NRL is also ensuring the rights of individuals are protected across every level of the game. The consultation process is important as is the NRL’s commitment to ensuring that players and fans have faith and confidence that integrity of the game is paramount."
Nearly four years has passed, and guess what? I have trawled the internet and no such email, phone, etc. regarding this hotline. You might consider this email as some nutter, however that are plenty of people asking the same questions, not only regarding this issue but a raft of issues
Please refrain from giving me a public relations answer that is five paragraphs long that the most people could put into two sentences?
I look forward to your reply.
