Agree to a certain extent but we still have a half-decent forward pack which is inconsistent.
I don't like the Hayne excuse, he hasn't been here for an entire pre-season. We've trained without him so there's no point in bringing him up imo when it comes to our failings on the field, people can no longer blame him for how poor the team is performing. The other ones though, certainly a good point. We've lost both our starting Round 1 centres so far, hopefully Taka is back fairly soon, same with Radradra.
Holding on to the ball and making tackles is a reasonable expectation from a first grader. We are not doing that. Also look at the try Dave Taylor scored. He started from 10-20 yards back and crashed the line. How many of our forwards are at full speed at the time they get the ball? The last 2 weeks have highlighted a problem in that we are struggling to score points therefore leading to frustration and other consequences. We are not getting the basics right and despite the injuries we still have a multi million dollar team on the field.
No excuses, we were bad on Saturday arvo. We are missing 3 starting forwards potentially in Jnr, Pauli & Edwards so I think BA has had to adjust hence why both IDG & Peats are in the 17. In the ideal team only Peats starts and Seffa goes to dummy half if Peats comes off and I know there are the Seffa haters out there as well but with our best potential starting team there aren't to many other options for a back up dummy half.
Peats doesn't really offer much as a back rower, it seems a little disjointed
I like degois, and he doesn't deserve to be dropped, but not sure if 2 hookers work for us
But, I m no expert, just an observer
I still think we'll win the premiership this year. All the best teams start slow...
You Sir are the epitome of a TRUE FAN.
I`m not a TRUE FAN so I don't know if I should reply.
F... it here goes.
We still have our starting spine, Hoppa, Sandow, Norman and Peats. The most important positions in a squad have been unaffected. Our forwards are pretty good tbh. Its our bench where we suffer. Seffa, De Gois take up the spots of two big men but BA insists on this squad so he is to blame for that.
Yes we are missing Semi and Taka but would they have stopped the Titans 38 points.
Would Jnr have made that much of a difference? I`m not so sure.
As for Hayne he is irreplaceable.
Agree outrunna
