I came over with 2 of my sons from NZ to be part of history and go to the new stadium yesterday. In 1986 as a 10 year old boy i sat on the hill and watched Parra smash the dragons 36-6 at the then new Parra Stadium. Since that time we haven’t won a Comp and despite a few great days on the highlights reel us Parra fans have sat through many a disappointing day. So after some dark days yesterday was a bright light in the eels history. The atmosphere felt like it was 86 again with so much noise. The crowd will give the eels a 20% lift this year and expect to see the rise of the eels.
I also said early in the season that I thought Gutho would have a huge year and feature highly in the daily Ms. He is certainly playing to another level.
So go the eels and dare to dream of 86 being rewritten again in October. I fly back tomorrow with so many amazing memories.

Yes fascinating memories nz. The 1986 game you watched was good viewing yesterday at 1.00 pm here on Fox when you were probably travelling to the the stadium yesterday. I did the '86 game and remeber it well - you and your kids will remeber 2019 well into the future mate.
Most dissappointed I could not be there yesterday but Fox covered it well.
Fox are soooooooooooooo far ahead of Ch 9 for TV coverage of the game, but have the same sort of wankers for commentators.
