Hi All
I have read this site for a couple of years now and decided to become a member after the outstanding coverage you gave of the Board elections and the passion you all show. I am an older Parra fan (with a daughter who is a Parra fan and a son who is a Bronco) living in the middle of Bronco's territory and constantly copping it from them about the on field performance. As this is my first post it may be long winded but I thought I would give my view.
Firstly I think the Chairman, CEO and Coach are all headed in the right direction and hopefully with another 2 years under their belt and some stability we will be starting to be a constant top eight team.
I realize I am a long way away from Parra Stadium and cannot keep my finger on the pulse like you guys do as I have Bronco news shoved down my throat everyday so forgive my ignorance if I ask questions about the Holden cup team or Wenty as I can only see those games if they are on Fox.
Okay footy stuff.
I understand you guys have your favourite players and you all have an opinion on them but we all have the same passion and that's to get the once mighty Eels back to the top.
I think next year we are only 1 player short of being certainties for the 8 and it's a simple fix.
Move Corey Norman to fullback.
Move reece Robinson to wing.
Buy a player like Cornish to partner Foran.
We haven't seen the best of Corey Norman and that's because he has the weight of the team on his shoulders. He is so similar to Hayne in that way and he can be the X Factor (I am not comparing him to Hayne that is no comparison). Let him pop up in the backline and throw the bullet pass to the wingers which he is renown for up in Brisbane. On the weekend all we needed was the fullback to swoop around the back and make the extra man and were in the corner. Unfortunately Reece Robinson is not a ball playing fullback. With Foran and Cornish each side and Norman popping up on either side we put doubt into the defensive line.
We then do not need Joseph Paulo, Chris Sandow and Luke Kelly (release them). These 4 players look good in reserve grade but are not consistent enough for me. I also do not see a future for Morgan or DeGoise but that is another story.
I saw Bevan French play on the weekend and he is a goer but a little skinny at the moment but definitely a star fullback in the making.
So we do not need to buy Gordon as we have a genuine ball playing fullback and a future star so use that money to buy a Cornish type of halfback.
The forward pack is as good as any so there is no problems there.
Sorry to rave on but I am as passionate as you guys and feel we are pretty close if we make this change and I just wanted to put my 2 cents worth in.
Cheers

Looking forward to seeing more blogs and posts from you, cheers
Thanks Snake we are a bit slow up here. By the way I am a NSW supporter in Qld so I cop a fair bit this time of the year.
I think you nailed something without explicitly stating it. Sometimes we need to just take a deep breath. We all want to win. We all hate losing. We want to be in the finals again. We want to win another comp. Let's take a step back and trust the people in charge. We're not far away. We just need some patience.
Nothing you have stated hasn't been said 17000 times before over various blogs. Hey it's not like I disagree but it's just been done.
BTW skinny Bevan French is pretty much the same size as that Munster guy from Melb every second person wants us to buy. Just from Googling ...BF 181cm - 89kg and CM 185CM - 89kg. I say bring him on now!
