A new group for seriously 1Eyed Parra fans

One of the comments I very often get from Eels fans I know, who don't participate on 1Eyed Eel is that they think the discussions are too negative.

Now as you know, I generally have a subtle moderation policy - as long as people don't go overboard with language or abuse. people are free to express whatever opinion they choose. However, I can understand how some fans just don't want to wade into that stuff and they just want to love their Eels unabashed and uncritically.

Or maybe after a game, you just want to talk about the match without having to listen to people bitch and moan about this player or that.

So I've created a new group - 1Eyed Extreme. It's very simple. No negative comments. None. Ever.

If you join the group and break the policy you'll be suspended immediately. If you think its lame, stay away. But I hope this becomes another way for Eels fans to join our community who don't want to get into the argy bargy of the main forum.

You need to be a member of 1Eyed Eel to add comments!

  • I think your time might be better served in the main Forum Muttman :-)

5 wins is better than 4 you know.

  • I luv Mortimer.  How about that - do I get a guernsey?
  • Sounds like discrimination against the people that are trying their best to give sometimes humouous, respectful and constructive critique?
I am sometimes negative but I hope I do it in a fashion that comes across semi blunt but relaxed.
I am a very serious Eels fan and I love to deabte with all my 1Eyed colleagues.

You may need to give some guidelines to what can or can not be said in this new forum.
    • I think you'll find that this group is designed to cater for the flag wavers rather than those who want to critique and de-construct every aspect of the game.

Seriously HH I don't think we'll be missing much if we're confined to the main forum ;-)

  • I will test the water.

JJ just added a blog in this grop saying Luke Burt is a deadset legend.
No argument from me. He is a clubman through and through.

However if I was to debate that I envisage him at fullback only as he is wasted on the wing and that I dont want to give him a wing spot in 2012 due to him not getting involved as much on the flank as well as lacking the speed and size we require moving forward.

Is this seen as negative in this new forum?
    • No, I don't think that's negative and certainly it's not going to get you banned.
  • By the way, I'm looking for a couple of administrators for this group. If this group sounds like your kind of place to hang, then let me know and you'll have the power to maintain peace and positivity. Particularly, if you're someone who maybe hasn't posted a lot because of this issues, I've described.
    • I'd put my hand up Phil - but I probably don't fall into that category that you mentioned - given I'm still here regardless of what is said and done.
    • this sounds like tinkerbell land. she would be ideal admin. I stick mainly to the main board myself and the chat section. only job I want on this site is "DOG CATCHER". I would love to be able to block and ban trolling bulldog fans.
  • lets just call this the delusional group.....................no negatives ..............ever
