I am not in the know when it comes to players behind the scenes at the eels, pulling strings when it comes too recruitment, particularly over the past six or so months.
Can anyone shed some light on whether:
* Bill Moss has come to the party at all re TPA's or in any other form of support?
* How much has Ian Schubert contributed to our recent signings?
* Has John Boulos got things right at the eels finally and did he have a say in the Jennings deal?
Cheers to anyone who may have some answers here...

Cheers Brett. Yes, that all seems pretty likely to be honest.
Who's role would it be to keep an eye on the market for players and cold call player managers?
I also thought Moss would be making moves behind the scenes?
according to a report i read this morning Jennings approached us in December.
Look out, somebody left the gate open and the unicorns are out. We got very lucky, very lucky to be on the end of Isaac Moses' musical chairs and then we still got screwed on the four-years. Let's take a look what 2018 is going to look like. We'll have close to $2m locked up in a 34 y.o Beau Scott, a 35 y.o Anthony Watmough and a 30 y.o Michael Jennings. Basically, we can no longer retain any players if they are targeted by another club. It's going to be very tough to retain Semi, we'll be very lucky if we retain Norman and/or Peats, and we've almost certainly lost Paulo and Pauli. If any of the young blokes kick on, they'll be lost because we have no wiggle room in the cap. We still have the worst TPA network in the NRL and Bill Moss has been chased away from the club. If that's what you mean by a new era, then sure, you're spot on.
Are you privy to all of these players, as well as every other player in our squads contracts, what they are actually getting paid, how they are weighted (forward or back), the TPA component (if applicable) and what percentage of the overall cap each player is recieving.
Has Semi's contract already been upgraded?
What's Tep and Manu getting paid?
How much of Jenning's contract are the Eels paying this year, and is 4 years too long for a 27 year old back (he will be 31 at the end of his contract)?
What will the club have available cap wise when the Peats/Norman et al contracts roll around (assuming we want to keep the lot)?
Will we have cemented ourselves as a top 4 side by 2018 when contract talks come along/will players want to leave?
Sure mate, people on here have a positive outlook atm and rightly so. I conceed many things are assumed and taken for granted and in the current circumstances it's with a positive slant. You're just putting a negative spin on pretty much everything (which is fine) but mate, seriously, you can't answer any of the above accurately and neither can I or anyone else on here.
Sometimes in life it's good to just enjoy the moment, like now :)
In the meantime let's Farken win the damn thing.
Player managers run the game. They call the clubs when they think they can shift a player around for more money and often they do so to get a better deal for one of their other clients which is what happened here.
