  • How can they strip awards for his playing career when this incident happened with him not being under contract and nothing to do with his playing career ... yet they allow a certain broncos player to play the game

  • While we are here, STRIP GROTHE AND PAUL MARES PREMIERSHIPS FOR ARSON.

Fongy, tell us the story again

    • Those two were so stupid doing that.  Just unbelievable.  Criminal Masterminds.......NOT!

    • Agreed. It was a ridiculous article by Weidler. When the news broke, nobody was thinking let's strip his dally m.
his argument was that they keep referring to him as an ex-nrl star. If they strip his dally m does he stop being an ex-nrl star?

      • The media still refers to Chris Dawson as a rugby league star and he played something like 40 total games in the 1970s. So removing Hayne's Dally Ms is not going to stop the media calling him a rugby league star.

    • John's is a complex one. He travelled to the school I work at a few years ago off his own bat to speak in a really heartfelt and honest manner (openly weeping ) to the whole school about his struggles with mental illness and suicidal thoughts. All because he sat next to a guy on a flight back from an origin in Melbourne who had told him about the spat of youth suicides in our area. Most humbling and powerful talk I've witness and had a real impact on opening up discussion and communication with lots of kids.

        • Wow. Frankie is an expert on Johns and has intimate knowledge of his health problems and drug taking.. pathetic!

        • What do you think is more likely Frankie, John's suffered from undiagnosed mental health issues during his playing career causing erratic behaviour and mood swings that he self medicated with alcohol and drugs, or that once found out he's spending a lot of time and effort to act unwell to cover up his past indiscretions.

      • I don't see how that in anyway qualifies his exemption , Magpie ? John's never had any consequences for his actions on or off the paddock .

mental health is such a cop out these days .  One could argue serial killers and rock spiders also have mental health issues . How long until the bleeding hearts  sympathisers start campaigning their innocence .
