Definitely rather be waking up after a win than a loss but there's a few things to keep in mind.

1. It's an unusually long run of games this year with no byes over the origin period. So with so much physical strain every club will have its low period.

2. It's better our key players recover from injuries now whilst they are minor than play on and risk being out for an extended period or miss finals altogether

3. A shit performance can really give teams the added motivation going forward, and give the coaching staff a platform to drive them from

I was glad we ended the game full of running and our fitness will continue to serve us well in second halves - again we kept our opposition scoreless in the second half.

A lot to work on, good to get Stefano and AD some game time now in case we need them later.

Lastly BAs press conference was spot on, no excuses, not we will be right when our stars are back, not complaining about our tough run the last month.... this is the guy you want to build a club culture where winning is expected and he sets the right tone every week.

Onwards and upwards for the Tigers next week

  • It was the first time I'd seen Davey and he went well. He didn't look overawed, ran the ball and tackled well and then came up with a nice flick pass that was instrumental in the scoring of the last try.

We have come through a tough period well with a few injuries, none of which seem significantly serious. Last night was not great but it's not the end of the world. We were severely lacking in energy for most of the first half and we'd worked our way back into the contest just before half-time. Allowing them to score just before break cost us the game but we continued to play with more spirit during the 2nd half but we never got into top gear which is understandable since we were missing about half a dozen if our top 17 players.

We are still in a great position and if we can win 8 of 10 games in the 2nd half of the regular season like we have done so far we should finish in the top 2 and give ourselves a great chance in the finals. Who of you wouldn't have settled for us winning 8 out the first 10 games before the season began?

"We were ranked no.1 for landing spots for Murray Taulagi with an admission that they do not find the timing of Lomax getting released to Taulagi leaving NQ as a coincidence.
