A Good Sign for the EELS .

I was watching New Zealand  V's PNG  . Yes the score was huge  76-12 .  But the few minor points i want to make is .

1. SK was coach

2. They equalled the biggest win ever by a New Zealand side

3. He rested Benji (SHOWS professionalism even when 50 mins into a game )

4. SK was sending a clear message to the Australian side

5. SK didnt let New Zealand show mercy .

I thought they were 5 good points about SK as coach .

Your Thoughts please fellow eels .

  • I agree with. However, being an Aussie, I can't wait for our clash with NZ. should be a thriller. however, i agree with you, and can't wait for next season. However, if i don't understand:
    1) if Jt is staying
    2) and orford's going to canberra (herbert went other way),
then who's our halfback. Sherwin? Cronk (I hope so)?, or are we going to start Murray?
  • NZ will do a huge crap on australia
  • Aust couldn't put that many on the PNG boys. Tim Sheens needs to get grunt as well
  • 76 points is impressive since Australia struggled to only pile on 42. Kearney must be concerned with the poor defensive effort. 12 Kumul points is equal to having 50 put on you in the NRL. Taking the exchange rate into consideration the Kiwis only just won.

  • The kiwis certainly looked better than the Kangaroo,s against them thats for sure but the thing that stood out for me was that the Kumuls had more set plays and variation in there basic backline plays than the Eels had under Ando.It actually makes you wonder what the Eels did in their ballwork sessions thats for sure.

  • Lol.... The boys struggled to hear what Ando wanted through his glass house up in the box.
  • Sorry but i have cannot understand the 5 points you raised here, to me they are generalised comments!!!

I might be old fashioned but if someone is going to summarise a game and state " good Points" I feel the points should have substance behind them and as to why these "good points" played a outcome on the result of the game and as to why they make SK a good coach?

Basing SK coaching credentials on the back of a trashing to a PNG side is does not cut it for me!!!!

No I aint no doomsdayer I just dont like heaping praise on a coach when he still has done zilch in the NRL , yes I want the guy to succeed at our club but i cannot stand the expectations some fans expect and place on players and coaches!!!
