A draw and our position on the ladder

That draw will have an interesting impact on our table position. Basically it takes our for and against out of the equation, as we're unlikely to be level with other teams in the competition.

If we're really lucky we could be one point outside of the eight next week - more likely to be three but at least still in touch going into the back half of the season with at least some form on the board.

  • Thank God for that - our for and against would have otherwise done my head in for the entire remainder of the season.
  • We were discussing that and it could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. We need to win at brockvale and it will be 09 all over again. Bring on Manly!
  • It's kinda like kicking a field goal and making it a 7-point game!
  • I think 26pts will be for 8th position. So we need to win another 7 games out of 12 with a bye in hand to get us to 27pts.
If we can string 3 games together somewer in the next 5 games we may be a chance.
  • We also have a relatively easier run over the next month and a half

    bye

    manly (away) (toughest game)

canberra (away) (tough 50/50 on form)

brisbane (home) (brisbane depleted game before origin, should win)

wests (home) (good home advantage hopefully to get over inconsistent tigers)

    panthers (away) (50/50)

dogs (away) (Hindy to beat Ennis into a bloody pulp and set the foundation for a finals charge)... This game will be HUGE!

Manly are the only team firmly entrenched in the top half of the ladder so if we are looking at a realistic finals we should be  looking at four wins out of the six. Hopefully keep our good record at home and grab 2 wins away.

  • I think that 28 will be the benchmark, as it always is.
