A darkhorse emerges for Eels job

Plenty of names have been mentioned for the Eels football manager job, but I’m hearing a dark horse will get the position.

A former Tigers and Panthers official, Phil Moss is currently with the Sharks but has been talked about by the Eels.

Parra were keen on respected Cowboys football manager Peter Parr, but he is unwilling to leave North Queensland.

Moss has been around the block a few times and could be a good acquisition for the Eels.

Head coach Brad Arthur has shouldered far too much responsibility through all the club’s crises this year and Moss has the experience to take some of the duties off his hands and allow him to get back to the business of coaching the Eels in 2017.

Obviously this is from the Lurker so probably BS, however if true anyone know anything about Phil Moss?

I think Peter Parr not being interested should end the Taumalolo rumour.

  • Its more likely they are pushing for him to get the job
  • I would of loved Peter Parr
  • Bill Moss in dress ups?
  • Why not Andrew Hill. Went to school with him.
He's the CEO of the NRL World Cup. Look him up.
    • Because he is a Fitzy boy.  No thanks. Move forward, not backwards!

    • In Fitzy's pocket is Mr Hill. Pass.
  • Phil Moss  - has history with Parramatta.  Long time involvement with the club before he joined Panthers and Tigers before current job at Sharks.

    Probably No.

  • Yes he was, he is also a former Police Officer.  However, he was also from the latter Fitzgerald era.  No thanks!

    • What's up, you don't like cops :)

      • Hill played one game for Parra in 1993, chosen on the bench vs Canberra who beat us 68-0 that year. An unfortunate debut for a guy who was one of the clubs most promising juniors.

He left to join the new Perth team Western Reds. I'm not sure if he ever played a game for them having busted his legs badly so I heard.

A few years back Sixties said he thought Hill might have been Parra's development manager sometime in mid Brian Smiths reign, the door not being shut in his face like I'd have hoped. Maybe this was Fitgeralds influence here taking the sinner back.
