A Class Below

I know there is alot of positives to take out of tonight but for me im not happy with how easily we gave them back the lead after getting in front once we gave them a sniff they never looked back. That is the difference the Roosters are champs for a reason and will mlst likely be 3 time champs

People always make the ridiculous claim that they get the refs on their side the top teams always have that claim levelled at them and they always get the rub of the green.

We are moving in the right direction but we are still a class below the roosters.

  • Agreed. The refs didn't miss that tackle. I feel sorry for Mahoney because he played well otherwise.

  • Don't agree were a class below the chooks, as ya stated we didn't get the rub of the green. I think our forwards won the battle tonite.

We pushed a few passes instead of going the safe way. Think our right side defence struggles and Waqa Blake needs to learn to hit with his shoulder, tryin to grab players won't work.

    • Waqa is our weakest link in defence, it why Panthers let him go.

    • The gap between the class is not as far as it once was that last 15mins it showed.

Lots to be excited about but we need to keep improving

      • Yeah no Jennings for 10mins showed us up lol

I don't agree, there's a cunts hair between these sides IMO.

If we get the 50/50s and a fair shake from the ref in a packed stadium I've got no doubt we win that game tonight.

        • That obviously didn't help but they were finishing over us like we did to the panthers last week we are chasing them they are the benchmark and right now were just not there yet but we are close

  • They got the rub of the green. But they also were a class above. You need to be a class above them and then some to beat them.

  • The reality is that we're a team on the rise. We had a decent run last year, this year we have to build another level of confidence and composure, I think we're doing that.

The problem is that you're 100% correct because the Roosters have been performing at the top level for the last, what 5 years?? We'll get there... hopefully by the end of this year.

    • Cummins was very poor tonight. And every single 50 /50 call went the Roosters way.

    • I agree to an extent that he was poor and we didn't receive a fair game. But, I'm not going to blame our loss on it. Poor ball handling in the first half, bad discipline and terrible right side defence is responsible.
