He was a member of the Canberra Raiders 1994 Premiership winning team and after his playing days became a local MP in the ACT. Known for his league commentary on the ABC he has also recently taken over as CEO of the Parramatta NRL team. "Many factors you got to consider. You are only looking at an age pool of players under 21. when you are filling 14 jersey Flegg teams (doesn't include the qld version of the comp too) there is not enough talent in that age pool to have high quality…"

"I saw him for NSW Funa-Iuta and found his movement lacked and wasn't agile enough for the edge, missed a couple of tackles against more speedy runners. I can see him as a middle.
