A Bright Future

Well today starts the new way forward for the eels. The boards gone, the Foren saga has finished and Corey Norman has hopefully learnt his lesson. Gee the media will be bored shitless no more Parra bashing stories.

Hopefully under a decent administrator BAs future will be secured. He is the key to our future, he bleeds Blue and Gold and I am so proud to have him as our coach. We have two of the best young guns in our backline in Gutho and Bevan French and maybe the return of JH.We have a well coached pack that mixes it with the best.Next year the boys will be hungry for success and as a parra fan Im exited about the next few years

  • Priceforever, I hope your thoughts are correct. BA is a must asap; and we hope things can die down.

The NRL have some work to do on TPA's; one city teams; and the bunker. That should keep them quiet...but who knows.

  • I agree Priceforever. Next year looks pretty good, especially if we can get Hayne. There is talk amongst the fans that Max will play too much by the rules and that will be unfavourable to us, but I see it differently. I'm sure Max will see that for the club to be effective both financially and on the field we need to have quality players. He will leave this to the likes of BA and Shubert and will make sure money is there for the contracts. It will also be an interesting conversation with the first player's agent trying to pull the wool over our eyes in demanding that the club organise TPAs. I think we can also assume that leaks are a thing of the past - imagine fronting up to Max after being outed as a leaker?

  • As long as BA is not only supported but unhindered in the running of not only the team but the football department itself im sure he will stay but if things arent fixed and fixed relatively quickly i couldnt blame him if he took one of the offers hes recieved ,no not warriors !
  • B A has to get an upgrade & extension & manu mau has to be re-signed & buy Sam Williams
    • Totally agree secure BA and yes Manu Mau is a must. I get the idea most of the team will be loyal to BA and really want to win a premiership with BA.We still have a good roster, a lot depends on whether Corey stays or goes, Id still like him to stay.If he does go we are still in need of a halfback.Although I still think Jeff Robson will have some value for next season. He guides the team ok but is still only a short time option.

    • I wouldn't buy Sam Williams he's shit
  • Has the Foran thing finished? Has he been formally released yet?
  • BA is by far the best thing that has happened to the Eels in a long time. As fans we can now see that our team has gone from the soft underbelly that every other team knew they could beat just by playing for 80 minutes to a team no one is willing to tip against no matter who is playing where. This is the BA effect so we MUST keep him at the Eels for as long as we can. He is a fan, the blood running through his veins is blue & gold, he understands exactly what it feels like to be us because he is one of us & has been his whole life. The Bright Future is Brad Arthur.
