Tahu....

Why does it feel that people are attacking players on this site, instead of being FANS and sending messages of support????

Are you on here just to put people down to make yourselves feel better? These are real people not just your personal punching bags. Real issues outside the game pop-up now and then, and I don't understand how you guys can continue to call yourselves fans and still attacking current players.

I don't want to put people off side but I do believe, before we call for people to be sacked, the player and the coach sit down and sort it out (as they are hopefully going to do). Also Mr Osbourne please keep your comments to yourself. You are unaware of what exactly is going on because the player and the coach are unaware. Really it just adds fuel to the fire, so to speak.

I am a FAN and support the team. I want the team to do well and the players to be happy. When they are happy and playing well, we all enjoy watching our team and we, as fans, are rewarded with our team doing well.

So, before you start calling for blood, let's just sit back and wait for the situation to unfold.

I don't know about you but I think if we start putting down members of the team already, how can we hope to have a team that wants to play.

  • You don't know how good it is to read a refreshing blog about Tahu like this one you've posted Amy.
I agree with all the points you've raised.

It's just one of those things I guess that not everyone is going to agree on, but there has to be an element of support for players in tough times such as these, I agree.
  • I am a FAN of the club and the team as well and once upon a time Timana Tahu was a hero of mine.

However since he lied about going to Union, then whinged about league while he was there. Then lied about coming back, and has dropped the boot into Union ever since he's been back.

Then whinged all season continually putting his face in the papers, while delivering zero on the field to back himself up.

Then dropping the boot in to an ex-coach who was sacked less than 24 hours before.

Now deserting the club, while we are trying to undergo a fresh approach to a new season under a new coach.

Not one thing Timana Tahu has done since he has returned to the club has indicated that he wants to be an Eel. For mine we have the right to be upset at him for the way he has treated us as fans and held the club to ransom, not vice-versa, he has brought it on himself over an extended period of time carrying on like a complete twat.

    I'm over it.
  • I agree with many of your points but unfortunately my point is not just about the situation with Tahu.

Many "fans" on this site seem to attack many of the players as though they are just there to have a go at the people who provide us with entertainment for a good part of the year. I think the need to express ourselves is a good thing but the need to put down others to get our point across is a negative way to do it.

If you are unhappy about a situation express concern about the situation. To be honest I am very unhappy with the attitude of some players but I will NOT name them on here or put them down publicly...

Please think before you write people. These are REAL people not characters in a TV show
  • Real people that receive HUGE pay cheques! If I don't perform at work I get my a*se kicked!!! We as fans are entitled to have our say!
  • now lets think -

Mr P.Osborne you are a Big Mouth

Mr T.Tahu pull your socks up - our club is paying overs for you and all you do is put us on the back pages - your player managaer has a lot to answer for as well.

The problem is the ones that sit back and wait for things to unfold - get left behind........

So think about that next time Osborne asks you to fork out hundreds of dollars each year!!!!
  • Eelation, Tahu doesnt put us on the back pages, it is the DT that does. If other players did what he did, i.e. take time off , they wouldnt end up on the back page yet he does. Its not of his own doing and so i dont think he deserves the blame for that.
  • He wouldnt be playing for NOTHING.. i'll assure you that
    • yeah but that doesnt mean hes getting paid overs.
  • in reply - what we got from Tahu this year we paid too much for him - and we are thinking of doing the same again this year!!??!!

Don't worry when he first came to the club i was a HUGE fan of his ( i worked with the Waratahs for a few years )

I know the DT write the crap - BUT if he just dealt with his issues they wouldn't have anything to write about!!

Not asking too much - but there are certain people in our club not being as professional as they should be.
  • ok but how do you know hes not trying to deal with his issues. Hes obviously trying to do that now and what happens, people attack him for taking time off. Last time he tried to deal with his issues he gets accused of racism, its like the guy can never get a break from anyone.
