Loss

While everyone is busy blaming this and that, I believe that parramatta were always goin to lose this match.1. Dragons needed to win.2. After 7 weeks of do or die footy parramatta were physically and mentally drained. DA probably should have rested more players (e.g. Burt, Cayless, Keating).3. No Hindmarsh or Grothe - We missed both, Hindy's defence and Grothes runs out of our 20m zone. But this isnt a bad thing. Parramatta will probably have the weekend off and can then turn up to training on monday and start afresh. DA must lessen the idea in the players heads that Hayne is our team and instil a little belief in players own abilities. Who ever parra play next week look out becuase we will be ready to go.PREMIERS 09!!!

  • I love your optimism and I hope your right. I will say though I was dissapointed they we just absolutely failed to collect ourselves. That was a sign of a team that was totally dominated.

I really would have liked to have seen Robson step up a bit more tonight. We desperately needed some direction and a cool head and he's the player around the halves who's been around the most and I thought he needed to stamp a bit of authority at least on his team. In recent games, even when we've been down you could see the belief that they expected they would be able to fight back. That just wasn't there tonight.

We can only hope its a learning experience, and the lesson gets through quick smart.
  • agreed agreed agreed!!
  • I made these exact points in another post! :-) I completely agree.

Although I am very disappointed with the result of tonight and our failure to step up, in a way I understand. I am excited about next week - Parramatta will be a different side.
  • Reason for loss....

    1. Had nothing to play for
    2. Had nothing to play for
    3. Had nothing to play for
  • I pretty confident we could turn it around next week if we play the dragons again. I know the scoreline suggested we got thrashed, but i honeslty think we played some alright footy in patches, the dragons just refused to give in.

We invited them in to the contest early with some dropped ball, then they got those first two BS tries and from there it was always going to be difficult to get our rythem back with the dragons playing so dominant.

I know we have the ability to turn it around, hay look at the dragons from last week 41-6 by a depleted bunnies team imo they were much worse than what we were last night, and then they came out and played great and beat us 37 blotto. It can be done.

"Yea I like Samrani as a 17 rather than a starting backrower. Tuilagi will probably be selected this week with Guymer back on the bench or cup. Latu needs a couple more games in Cup before being a chance of NRL selection I would think."

"Yep thats the thing. I dont think anyone expected some players to be so much on the outer and JR blood so many younger players. Its why we are suffering this short term pain. Hopefully its better for the long run."
