Look i know i am not the only one that thinks that parra's recruitment in 2010 was a not as good as it could of been crap in other words but mayby we should be happy with what we've got after all we have many game breakers in our team such as:

Jarryd Hayne
Daniel Mortimer
Timana Tahu
Fuifui Moimoi
Justin Horo
Tim Mannah

The $ 700,000 + will come in handy to resign our off contract talent such as Tim Mannah, Joel Reddy and Fui but i think he has been resigned to 2013.

Also i think that it is almost a definite that Quade Cooper will be an eel in 2012 he just keeps on getting disrespected and has been told by many veterans of the game come out and say he cannot tackle and doestnt like to get his hands dirty. But in saying that he has the best Kick in Rugby League and Rugby Union together.

He is best friends with Jarryd Hayne
He only signed a 1 year deal with the ARU
It is well known that he wants to play NRL

UMM how do we have 700,000 plus in the salary cap? easily mate, we let go of 1/3rd of last years team...Caylo was on 400 grand, INU was on 270k, Mateo around 230-250k, Oake was quoted on 120k - a Hagan contract- , Wright minim um contract 55k, Kris Keating, not sure but say 100k, do the math, we relaesed over 1 million from the salary cap. Add Tahu who was on at least 200k last year and may or may n ot be re-signed.....we have ALOT fo dosh to play with. The maitua, walker, webb signings cost 350k combined....

Now factor in salary cap increase of 100k for 2011, and marquee payments doubled to 350k, and unrestriced 3rd party payments if the company is a non-sponsor. The problem with Souths is there trying to sign marquee players 2 years running, with Taylor and Burgess last year, and now GI. Parra? we had the 2 upgrades of Morts and Hayne to start next year i believe [yet HIndys was scaled back for next season]....ETC ETC....WE DEF HAVE THE MOOLA

unless your frontloading contracts, then the 700K that is available for 2011 cannot be loaded as additional space for 2012...

I thought that was common knowledge.

Henry, he means that when the contracts are up for the mentioned players we will have more room in the cap for upgrades which most will be asking for.

In the papers early this year it said we had $ 600,000 and realeasing players like Johnathan Wright and Breandan Qake would amount to the other $ 100,000 possibly yes a was puting a rough figure together.

Mate we tired to purchase CRONK THURSTON and QC, thats PROOF we have BIG money to throw around, [seeing as we were the club to be offering JT a total of 1 million per season with 3rd party payments.] We also made a play for Cronk offering him 500k per season. We signed Maitua etc. for this very reason. That we were saving our cap space for a big signing but, thus missing the boat with everyone else. Any club that lets go of half there squad are gonna have money to throw around.

Exactly, we were just like the Storm, we too shed over $1 million worth of playing talent, the difference is, we did it voluntarily. The irony is we could've NOW offer MATEO 500 grand to stay for all the difference it would matter, as this 700 grand will become Monopoly money anyways.

unless Reddy does something spectacular next year don't think he will get an "upgrade" on his contract, same with Fui. They will get the same or less.
