There has been some talk over the last few days about loyalty towards our team becsuse of the comnents that come from frustrated fans.
I roughly worked out that since our last premiership 36 years ago, the Eels have played about:
70,000 minutes of footy.
About 865 games.
I know some people here have watched every minute of those. Some giving up time with family and friends.
I'd say that's a bunch of pretty loyal fans full of blind optimism considering how unsuccessful we've been.

I think it has got to stage where all that is being questioned.
We have been doing quite well the last several years
But we are only contenders for the finals not for winning a grand final and that is not good enough. This is a reflection of the people in charge. They have done a good job and deserve appreciation for changing us from cellar dwellers to finals footy. But we need change at the top. We need people running the show who can get a GF win
We have changed our identity we need to start looking at africa
I'd say you have a point but why is this a blog?
What type of responses are you trying to generate.
Probably should have been a comment on the original blog.
We have the most members out of any Sydney club as well which shows how big and loyal the fan base is. Just imagine how many members the club would have if they were actually successful?
Imagination is all we have unfortunately.
