7 9 and captain - do we already have them

Could Bevan be our future 7 - I know he was tried there before and failed and the forwards would run at him all day but just wondering if it could be a better future fit for him than FBCould Pritchard be our 9 - he seems less injury prone now ...Hope I have not jinxed himScott is a great leader and love his style but it seems to aggravate the refs and this could lose us matches. No one else really has the respect and ability to influence yhe refs. Wonder if French could be captain material in the future if he plays half

  • Bevan is a fullback and Pritchard is made of glass and is a benchy at best.

  • Well...der!

Of course French can be a great halfback.

  • No- he'd be ran over all game and would have to go for bootlace tackles to get the bigger guys down which leads to penalties for holding onto the leg to long or quick play the balls.
No- similar reason, I'm sick of seeing kaysa being dragged along hanging onto props legs. Gives away too many quick play the balls. Also very injury prone and would be targeted.
No- Scott is the best leader we have, French is just getting a feel for the game and is too soft spoken for a captain.
    • He'd have to tackle like any other halfback. We also have the type of forward pack, defence driven that could easily help him.

Why stick the most exciting player that we have brought through for some time, on the wing or at the back? Particularly with the general shortage of top line halves around.

  • Why is it as soon as we get a decent player in a position we want to move him straight out.

    Semi to fullback or Centre
Hayne back in the day, y'all wanted to move him to five eight
Gutho from his wing/centre to five eight.

Why do we always want to play people out of position?
    • i agree in general with this statement on backrowers, but wanting to move wingers is because wing is a limited position with less influence on winning a match, in semi's case they also want to earn more money, just as michael gordon once did

  • Im leaving it to BA
  • He seems destined for fullback but even if in the halves he'd be more in the 5/8 role ala Milford with the other half doing more of the organising.,
  • Is this blog for real?
  • Reminds me of Preston could play half but will be our fullback he's our future Jarryd who? Lol
