  • The 4 eels are :

    - Coinakis. Played his first year of SG ball this year switching between 9 and 14 with Jai Cameliri. More of your solid defensive and good service type of hooker.

    - Talagi. Younger brother of Blaize. A strong running prop who played HM this year.

    - Sagnalang. Was his first year of SG ball and was in and out of the side. A hard working lock forward.

    - Fletcher. The HM halfback from this year but played centre for his school boy team.

    • Thanks for this EA, my nephew made the U15 nsw ccc side that played qld last week. Picked as a centre but has mostly played fullback for his club st. Mary's but has played lock this year. He is a parra supporter or at least was, not sure these days since he plays in Penrith comp.

      • Congrats to him. All the best to him in making it all the way.
school boy footy is like "origin" for kids. Yes they can play for nrl clubs in the juniors but the passion in school boy footy is great.

      • The MoM from the u15 school boy GF will be in the eels HM side next year. Hayden Bell a hard working lock forward. Lets see where the kid ends up.

        • Talking about locks, keep an eye out for Charlie Xuereb. He was the captain of my nephew's nsw team, they play against each other in club footy, he has certain first grader written all over him.

        • Hayden bell has massive wraps  plays a yr up in our development side and was easily the pick of the players . Also won player of the tournament at last week's nationals as well as MoM in grand final versus QLD .

    • Heard some good things about Ryda, but defensive issues. Think it was against roosters he missed something like 9 tackles or something

      • I wait to SG ball to get better judgement on players. It's why I don't watch must HM. Sometimes I even wait for flegg/cup to make a judgement. HM is often too early to judge especially for forwards. Most the big boys just dominate because of their size. So they are not good at the 1%'s  and minor details because they have never needed it in the juniors. They get caught out in Flegg and cup. I suspect that might be Tuivitia issue.

      • Very good player great feet at the line and skilful for a big fella.

Huge effort by all the boys that made the school boys great achievement for all there hard work. Let's hope we can develop these boys into nrl players .

  • Just to give a guide on how eels have plenty of talent in their pathways. Number of players from each NRL side:

    Eels - 4
    Sharks - 3
    Titans - 2
Panthers, Raiders, Bulldogs, Roosters, Knights, Dragons, Dolphins, Tigers, Sea Eagles - 1

"If it is Matto, not a bad tactic to get him off our books quicker.Let him stew at home knowing he'll need game time to secure a decent 2026 contract. Might just be enough to tip him over."
