3 wins from 9 at home

Anyone know when the last time we had such a bad home record? This has been one of the more disappointing aspects of our season. When everyone was saying that we we're almost invincible at Parra the players began to take it for granted that we'd win easily at home.

  • next year

  •  The newspaper today said we had won only two at home this year. As we lost again today we still have won only two this year. That would make it two from ten would it not?

    • Newspaper? Don't ever believe what they say. They're constantly filled with agendas and misinformation. We won against Manly, Rabbits, and Dragons at home. That's it.

  • The fans started to take it for granted too that we were invincible at home. Every time we lost at Pirtek, crowd was 13K or less. Many times it was about 10K (today, NQL, Storm, NZ etc). When the fans bothered coming, and we got over 15K (Manly, Souths, Dragons) we won each time. Not a coincidence. We didn't win a single day game at Pirtek, nor did we get a good crowd for any, why? Not one bar todays was affected by rain, they were all sunny days. Spare me the "out of town" teams line, there are plenty of Parra fans in Syd. Manly have barely any fans and we had 18.8K in Rd1. The players only get that lift when the place is 3/4 full or more (15K) and the atmosphere is actually good. As much as the team needs to improve at home, so do the fans. Arvo games not getting over 13K is poor.
    • I remember waaaay back in 2009 we had a Sunday arvo game against the Broncos. It was mid season before our famous surge to the finals. We needed a win to keep our remote chances of making the finals alive. Our energy that day was very good, but the crowd was very poor. 10,000 at best. We won that game because the players dug in and fought. Big crowds help but they can't be relied upon to make the players give their all. This year it just hasn't been good enough. Even during the spoon years we won at least half our games at Parra.

  • I wonder if there's other factors such as ticket admission, poor food and drink facilities and little parking at Parra Stadium?

  • In the fair dinkum department, we should have beaten the Warriors if we had a goal kicker.

Should have beaten the Cowboys when leading 30-6 but fell asleep.

Should have beaten Raiders except for referee incompetence or bias.

Could have beaten Sharks if we had concentrated for 10  more minutes.

    We should stop their medication.

"It was. Mainly because Read came off as a total fuckwit. While it's nice to see (most of) the media on our side in this case, it;s really hard not to be."
