3 NEW RULES FOR OUR TEAM

Firstly let me say that I was really proud of the great turn out last night at the game. I was surrounded by Eels fans, flags, jerseys everything. After watching the game last night and then watching the replay on Fox this morning, there are a few new rules that DA should bring into place.1. Robson is not allowed to kick the ball! He refuses to put up bombs and then panics on the last tackle. He can tackle (made a great covering tackle that saved a certain try), he can organise, but he cant kick - never.2. Lowrie should never pass the ball! Now I know a few of you will remind me of his beautiful cut out pass last week to Burt, but that was a once in a lifetime pass for him. He is genuinely trying his guts out, he does a lot of the scrappy work in defence, but his hands are like an 90 year old grandfather. He is like Grothe used to be, everytime he touches the ball, all I am praying is that he just takes the tackle and plays the ball fast. NO PASSING TODD.3. Hayne must be our No.1 kicker when we are inside our 40. His two 40/20's last night were brilliant. Not only can he kick a 40/20, but he can also whack it downfield with a big thump - by far our biggest kicker. Mortimer is 2nd in line as he has a great kicking game, just not as big, but probably more accurate. He kicked really well last night into space.Any more rules that I have forgotten?

  • I agree...when I saw him run I was thinking farrrr out...was wishing we had either MK or KK on...
  • rule #4, eric grothe must not run and leave his man unmarked??? has he not learnt his lessons over the years
    • Yeah totally agree, if he just had faith in his inside man a little more he'd save alot of tries.
  • ben smith.. leave him at home..
  • I'm happy with the 2 rules but lowrie has to pass it's what's making us win games the passing
  • I thought rule No2 was Lowrie should never actually play...............
  • So would Lowrie still not be allowed to pass if he benefits from the coaching of Daniel Anderson?

Surely, earlier in the year the rule was "don't pass the ball Guru!!' Now look at the difference.

For the record as well, I didn't have any issues with Todd's passing or his game on Friday. The only issue I had was with that dropped ball and he wasn't the only player to have a bit of a whoopsie in regard to ball control.
