Rest of our pack hang their heads - they were out muscled, out aggressioned (new word), out defended and literally out bashed for major parts of that game.
Onus is on them next week against an equally aggressive pack.
1 - Dylan Brown. Thought he showed glimpses of getting his attack happening.
Not sure I want to sit down & watch the game on TV but my opinion of the refereeing & bunker adjudication from being at the game was that it was fucking atrocious. Grant Atkins isn't a first grade referees arse. Who was in the bunker? Certainly did us no favours. I did think the Dragons forwards were better than ours but they were also allowed to lay all over the tackled player & slow the ruck down which really affected our go forward. Seemed to be getting off their line very quickly too.
Nathan Brown plays with lots of wasted effort and BA needs to pull him in line.
I get the people giving him 3 points because his effort and enthusiam and want to take hit ups with his leg speed through the middle stick out.
But he also bounces off tackles he shoots out of the line on, Chases one out and misses the tackle, gives away stupid 6 agains (esp for holding down too long and crowding), mistimes his shoot out of the line and gets caught offside (especially when the opposition is coming off their line) and takes hit ups when we need to spread the ball. I'm all for his enthusiasm and his want to lift the team but alot of his efforts miss the mark and it would be a lot better for us if he pulls back a bit and uses his brain more.
Everything he does is with good intent and he's a good team man, but he overdoes it to the point hes not effective imo and its becomming a habit in his game.
The only guy I think who deserves points tonight is Papa. That performance was disgraceful if you ask me. No enthusiasm, and too many errors. I am sick of the 5 plays up the field and then kick and hope on the last. Ferguson looks uninterested. The whole team lioked like they didn't want to be there tinight.
"PG,
He’s already shown he’s not willing to be rushed into a decision by the Lomax camp to suit them.
From all accounts, he’s a straight shooter and an excellent judge. I believe he’s a former equity barrister as well, so he’s experienced and…"
"Coryn, now that your mates- the nz Taranaki rugby trainer has been booted out of Parramatta, the team won't be running out of breath after 5 minutes in Round 1 again mate. He really made a world of difference. "
"Nope he is fit finally! Listed at 26.I honestly got no idea what injury he had that caused him not to play the second half of the year. hopefully he has a strong year in nsw cup. I rate him more than Jezaiah and Samrani, as a backrower if he stays…"

Nathan Brown set up a good try but he also gave away a penalty try.
