Another year, another NRL season done and dusted. Time to begin the boring pre-season of predictions, speculations and anticipation.
The Nines will start and finish before we know then we will be dragging our feet for more than finally opening kick-off. However, 1 questions remains for another after new years, will this be the year of the Eel. And the answer will be same every year: Who Knows
We have the pieces to do it, A world class Fullback in Hayne, a cheeky big play Halfback in Sandow and a Workhorse future teamleader in Peats with Experienced Watmough joining promising back-rowers Ma'u, Moeroa and Edwards
And I will never know my emotions til the final buzzer on game day when we finally win title no.5, all I know is that I will be crying and dazed in emotion and hugging whoever I can see wearing and Eels jersey, that includes the players
And as a typical die hard I believe 2015 is the year of the Eels, as is every year in my eyes

If we can play 1 maybe 2 finals games next year I'll be happy. It will give some good experience to our young forwards to show them what it takes to play finals football and take the next step so that we can play 3 and then possibly 4 games in the finals series. A massive positive that we need to make sure we play those few games in the finals is signing Anthony Watmough, he's been there and he's done it. He knows what it takes to get into the finals and he will put everything into it to get to a finals berth if he comes across to us.
I have no doubt that in a few years time we're going to have one of the better packs in the comp with boom forwards Jnr Paulo, Moeroa, Ma'u, Edwards, and Pauli all coming through at the same time but to make sure these boys develop more than what they would naturally I feel we need to get into the finals next year. I think we can do it too, we only need to win 1 more game than we did this year and we're pretty much assured a Top 8 spot.
I can't wait for the news feed full of team-list blogs and people complaining about the players saying that the 14/15 Off-season is the hardest ever. The off-seasons are always full of surprises.
Pretty sure we did it in 2013 after winning the spoon, or maybe 2012 my brain don't work so good after a big weekend.
