  •  Nice jersey should replace that shitty away one

  • I likeit, but seriously why ffs is the anzac round in Darwin, couldn't they have some other neville nobody round?

    • I mean, Darwin was directly involved in WW2 and bombed by the Japanese as well as being the jump off point for the Kokoda campaign.

      • As a matter of side interest, so was Townsville. Is there a game there this weekend?

        • Yes, Cowboys are playing Canberra.

      • Valid points but I don't see what that has got to do with them getting the Anzac game.  I don't know why we send a home game commemorating an important day, one could say the most important day of the year away from our home ground and ticketed members, it doesn't make sense.

        • Agree . It's a cash grab with kick backs for us from the NT governent most likley . It's dumb , and as a team that needs every win we can get it portrays an image of the club we know of prior years who were that shit they'd take some cash over the advantage of a home game as we had bugger all chance of the 2 points meaning anything in September anyway .

70% of the NT are AFL mad and the rest are related to a Rabbitohs player

      • The whole East coast was directly involved .  Wollongong , Newcastle and Sydney had ships blown up .   Wollongong (Port Kembla ) was one of the most fortified and manned areas in the country .  Plenty of ships were destroyed outside the harbour and we still have anti tank and bomb utilities all over the joint .

id say you'd struggle to find a town with more WW2 reminders in their original locations anywhere in Australia .  Funnily there's no real laws protecting them as part of our culture and many of the bomb shelters and tunnels are covered in graffiti or overgrown with weeds and shit .  Even right up on the waters edge directly behind my joint there's old rusted rails and rottin posts from where they were loading ammo on the boats .

        • There you go Wiz, a great opportunity to raise this with the council and/or local State Member about protecting these sites. A lot of the WWII sites in Sydney are in National Parks. A great legacy for you to leave the community.

"Even signing like a very experienced cup Hooker who has a handful of NRL games. Someone who will just do a job if asked. Meni Luke unfortunately might not be that.
