Ahhh, 2020, you were supposed to be sooo good. A whirlwind engagement with a beautiful girl that began soon after the the big win over the Broncos and ended with marriage at the start of 2020. A new wife, a new house, a new life, and Parra looking the goods.
We started great.
Then Covid.
No games, no visitors, no visiting. Hard for family life and a new marriage.
Parra kicked into gear and it seems like no one else had.
By the time everyone else kicked into gear we were getting tired.
Scraped our ass through the last few weeks but tonight was always gonna be hard after losing key pointscorers and Rabbits being on fire.
Good start, pity we couldn't go on with it.
Oh well, there's always next year.(been saying this too long)
Looking back, one big upset is of a personal nature that I'm sure you'll all appreciate. My wife of now 9 months has been a lifelong Bulldogs fan (which I knew before we married). Sun 2nd August this year, Parra vs Dogs, during the game, on the lounge, she announces "Doggies play dirty, I'm sick of em, I'm going for Parra from now on." Well... I was gobsmacked. But accepting and appreciative. Things have gone really well since then, even though they were going well anyway, and she's spent the last 24 hours wearing my jerseys, and nothing else, and then we've lost. But I've won. In the words of Saul Goodman, "it's all good man!".

that game was when things really started going downhill for the Eels season, so what your saying is that it's all your wifes fault????
