"The trouble with Melbourne is that they have been in the competition now for about 27 years. I'm yet to see any local players that have come through the ranks to play NRL. Compare that to Sydney Swans, who by 2009 (27 years) had many local players.…"
"V'lanys' position is becoming untenable. What poor leadership he has shown through this matter. The only thing on his mind is a big dollar sign, with the clubs and fans nowhere to be seen."
"V'Landy's sincerely cares about Lomax's mental health. He (rightfully) sees it as his responsibilty to give regular, personal updates to the public on Zac's mental well being, as he does for all players. Thank goodness we have a genuinely thoughtful…"

I dont think its going to a good year but i dont think going to be a bad one to i think we come any were from 2 last to 11 place
ILL BE BACK
I dont think that Junior Paulo will be the 'catalyst ' that will inject the Eels into a great year in 2019 but Im sure he will contribute. I also think 2019 will be a huge improvement from 2017 but I think the main ingredient will be a balance of young enthusiastic players coming through the system combined with experienced players and stability. There have been quite a few issues facing other clubs lately that will definitely have an impact on their sides in 2019 namely Panthers, Sharks, Dragons, Broncos and Souths yet the Eels have remained for the most part stable except for the Hayne incident but he was vertually unsigned for 2019 anyway and Norman has been on the cards to leave for awhile.
Yes, I've thought the same Kev.
We were very lucky we didn't sign him on a 3 year deal it seems.
Anyway, when will our new hooker signing be announced?
The first 3 words of your blog are spot on Monts the rest is just surperflous
I sincerely you are right but as a supporter of 45 years I’ve never felt less confident of our chances of simply competitive let alone having a good season. We are well and truly up shit creek and now without Corey Norman we not only don’t have a paddle we don’t even have arms to paddle with.
Ken Stewart: Agree. I go back to 1949 so I have spent too many years up that creek with and without a paddle. Cory`s gone but he did have some positive areas in his play. We will miss those areas.
People wake up. Corey has positives? If BA himself saw the need to move him on it speaks volumes of the turkey that he is. We won the Spoon! What is there to regret? Better struggle with fresh faces having a crack then rely on talented but wasteful hasbeens
Well said Ken. Those wanting Norman to leave will regret their wish coming true.
LOL Glenn. I've read some ridiculous statements on here but..
