But I thought this was a fair assessment- we need to prove our potential before being rated higher. we haven't played finals for a while and excuses don't get paid
"8. Roosters – Yes, they finished 15th last year, but the Roosters will be boosted by the arrival of two handy buys in Michael Gordon and Luke Kelly". Luke Kelly went to South Sydney, not the Roosters
But roosters had a lot of narrow losses last year and would be expected to be around 8 this year
and its not like Luke Kelly is a handy buy anyway
Still better than Loltrell Mitchell
Aaron last year we lost 12 points, had just about 2m dollars worth of talent that for what ever reason were on the sidelines, we had all that drama and still missed the 8 by 1 game.
Whats your theory on why we wont make the 8? as long as Norman stays on the park we'll romp it in, and im not an easy marker.
I cannot see any of those top 8 teams having the wood on us, nor do I see us unable to beat any of them. Perhaps it would not be drawing too long a bow to say we are likely to beat all of your nominated top 8 sides at least once next season.
We, as Snake has previously stated, had all those listed drawbacks last season which were significant and still just missed the 8. For the record if you've had your head in the sand during the orf session. WE have added 4 top line forwards to our roster. None of them were signed to play for Wenty from BA's perspective, we have kept everyone we wanted to keep who played the second half of last season. Our young backs have grown in experience and physical stature and we've added Josh Hoffman a proven experienced, fast and skillful first grader with Ava'au, G. Jennings and Will Smith to our backline depth.
You can add to that the fact that many of the guys who were in the system for years but on the fringe are now lighter, stronger, fitter or bigger than they've ever been. In fact the Wenty fraternity a training like they believe they are a chance of playing NRL.
Not only will we make the 8, I reckon we can actually win it with a fair go in the good luck stakes!
