2017 HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION

Say we have the full cap to play with and lets say BA has told Hayne hes only willing to pay him $xxx because he already has FB covered and Hayne decides to go French Rugby. That could be why Hayne is still checking around.

Who should we chase for next year given the spare cash?

We could do with:

Big prop. Just for some size difference

Hooker. Because while IDG is good hes not the answer

Half. Because a specialist half is still better than Guth if we have cash

Backup centre: If Guth plays halves our centres are injury prone

Winger. If French moves to FB and we're not sure about Semi.

What are peoples thoughts?

  • Honestly i wouldnt mind seeing guth get a crack at hooker very versatile good footy brain might need to put some size on in the pre season french is not ready for fullback yet it would be a disaster have you seen how often he is deagged into touch or forced back 10 metres in tackles will.be amazing in a year or 2 but not now we need an intimidating forward pack if we want a premiership and a good halfback

    • Gutherson hooker? Not sure if serious. I guess it would be funny. Reminds me of the play hayne at lock posts i used to laugh at years ago.
    • How's life in the meth lab?
  • Prop: Jordan McLean

    Hooker: James Segeyaro

Half: Kane Elgey or Cameron Cullen

    Centre: Tanne Milne

    Winger: Joseph Manu

  • Elijah taylor
    • Underrated for sure
  • Eiijah Taylor would be a great signing, I have heard he was heading off to the SL, that would be a total waste of talent.
  • To be fair he does call himself Optimistic

  • As our starting Hooker I might think about it.
  • silly season  on now,  well done snake and ron, you fooled a lot with your carney blog  funny stuff.

"The PNG national squad always does OK, plus the grassroots are already established. Plus, the entire country loves the game. I'd be more optimistic of PNG fielding a compettiive side over Perth. "

"Need way more than that, majority of the players signed would be their depth. Even that is rubbish. As Johnny mentioned too, juniors will be hard to come by.
Look at their last two signings. Sorensen and Talakai. Sorensen is a fine signing for…"
