2017 Hooker

Watching Wallace tonight, I can't help but wonder if Robo is an option if we find no one better. He has good defence and can pass. Probably quicker than IDG and could do the occasional dart. What do you think?

  • Robo-hooker? Is that like half man half machine?
    • At least you've got next years banner. ;)
    • Are we talking about robbo our 34 year old half back..with no long term future in the game. who'd probably be average at best?? Fark me dead...
  • What about defence
Robbo does not seem to have the defensive ability to be a hooker
    • He's a sound defender I reckon he could handle the workload for a year if needed.
    • The one thing Robbo does not lack is defensive ability Wile. I agree with what another has said here - he'd have been a great 9 if he switched a few yrs back
  • That escalated quickly.

    Lock him in Eddie Haha
  • If robbo had changed into a hooker years ago he would of been a success
  • I think he went into hooker in the rooster game and did a good job.
  • Good post, at the end of the day, a great hooker in the modern game is a half who can defend but not good enough to be a first choice half.

Wallace is great example of a washed out half come first rate hooker, Robbo would be a great hooker option next season.
