2017 Gains and Losses

Would that be correct in saying there are no gains at the moment.

  • Well, offloading Foz and the Board and getting a full Cap next year is a major gain.
  • Gains are coming, but you know what? We don't need them. Our current squad are awesome and will only get better! Anything else is a bonus.

  • Vave is a gain.

  • Gain - Hayne

    • Nice.
  • Yep, at this stage it is Vave and Hayne with Norman's new deal to be released shortly.

  • Maybe not yet slip, but shortly, when teams start dropping out of finals contention, we may hear of a few. - Certainly, I don't think any of ours will be going anywhere unless they receive the tap on the shoulder. BA is the man!!! (& he's f**king ours!!)

  • This is what is rumoured/expected to occur at this point in time, but things can change very quickly:

    - Vave to replace Jr Paulo in top 25.

    - Pritchard to replace Peats in top 25.

    - O'Brien to replace Watmough in top 25.

    - Hayne to replace Foran in top 25.

    - One of Toutai/ Folau or Faraimo to make way for French in the top 25.

    - If I had to guess I think Hasson may be moved on for Twal in the top 25.

I would be more comfortable if we picked up another half as well as resigning Norman.

    • I thought their salary goes onto the following season?
  • French was not top 25 this year. The fact he's now played a fair few games in 1st grade, may mean we need to put him back before the year's out to avoid a cap breach in 2nd tier.

"The PNG national squad always does OK, plus the grassroots are already established. Plus, the entire country loves the game. I'd be more optimistic of PNG fielding a compettiive side over Perth. "

"Need way more than that, majority of the players signed would be their depth. Even that is rubbish. As Johnny mentioned too, juniors will be hard to come by.
Look at their last two signings. Sorensen and Talakai. Sorensen is a fine signing for…"
