2017 cap

Ok so now Peats is gone, does anyone have any idea what our cap room is like for next year. With choc, peats,paulo and morgan all gone surely there is some room available. j fear we may have to over to attract players due to the bs that has gond on this year.

We should have room to keep Norman and Gordon for now

And if we shed more players I would get Segeyaro Klemmer and Sue

  Forget Klemmer, signed long term by Dogs. Will only get him if someone inside Dogs spills the beans on their rorting and they are forced to shed players.

These years tpa's will be loaded onto next year's salary cap so we will need to shed 2-3 players next year

  Are you sure they will load TPAs on to next year's cap? Doesn't seem right to me but I can't make sense of the whole situation. I would have kept Peats and not played for points.

  First off we had several years worth loaded into one year, so even if they're recurring lengthy TPAs next year would be way less than this year. Secondly any TPAs that were once off or for players that have gone or the TPAs ended we won't have next year either. We have a bunch of players off contract and we definitely won't be copping anywhere near the whole of this $700k next year.
  
  Next year will be a completely different kettle of fish.

Aren't TPAs a once of thing they are not year by year...

If we had TPAs this year that were dodgy the NRL would have put them on our cap as well but they only mentioned 2013 2014 and 2015..

  Could be a once off, could be a recurring arrangement (like a brand sponsorship).

No one is sure expect those who know the details of the TPAs that were pushed onto the cap by the NRL and their length, whether they were one off's, whether the ended in the last few seasons etc. Anything else is just guessing. One this is certain, next year will definitely be a better position than this year.
