Even with all the BS we would've made the finals without the 12 point deduction. Who knows what might have been. I don't think we would've won it all the depleted team we have now (No Norman, Peats etc) but we are a superior team to some of the teams that made the finals (teams that spring to mind are the Bulldogs, Titans, and the Sharks on current form).
Good times ahead for Eels fans. French is a bona-fide superstar in the making and will play rep footy before too long. Hopefully Gutho will go on in leaps and bounds in the halves and Norman will step up another level and become an elite half. Hopefully Manu stays because he typifies the Eels efforts this year - so much grit and determination from this bloke. Make Semi Happy so he hangs around for a while - give him the kicking duties and keep pumping his highlights like they were in the Parra Stadium tribute video.
Despite our 12 point reduction we still beat the Roosters (LOL!) and we were only two points behind Moanly (LOL!).
Imagine...13 months from now...the first weekend of October....Eels 20 - Storm 6....79:30 on the clock...Kenny Edwards takes the tackle...stays down....leg slowly rises....It's the Kenny Cramp and the Eels are 2017 premiers....
Go Parra!

Dogs twice, manly twice and the dragons, so I'm happy with that.
And I think Gutho and Norman will be a good halves pairing. I was impressed with Gutho in today's game, kicking game especially!
The worst part being the NRL deemed we were $570K over the cap....yet Anthony Watmough was on $600K a season and never played a game...we deserved to be there.
Wishful thinking but let's hope so.
I believe any team can do it minus Knights unfortunately but we're a good chance. I still think Robson is a bl00dy good signing for us.
He is showing why he didn't want to be at the Warriors and it's because they're way too fancy.
well said dave's mum
It had to happen. As Eels fans we all knew there were some big issues at the Eels but I don't think we ever expected it to be as bad as it got. As far as our on field performances, the numbers tell the story. We would of ended the season on 30 points which would of meant Eels in the finals but with the deduction of points the Titans get in by default. After what the NRL put the Eels through this season I'm now looking forward to moving onto summer & to be honest, I couldn't give a crap what happens in the finals this season. I look forward to hearing some good news stories regarding the Eels over the off season.
