2015 Captain?

With Hayne gone who do you think will be captain? I've never been a fan of captains that only play half a game - I remember when Cayless used to go off & Eels looked like chooks with their heads cut off. Could Watto be the answer? I don't know if he captained at Manly but has a wealth of experience.

  • I've commented on this before and I agree with Wayne Bennett - having two captains is a cop out.
You need someone to take responsibility.
If I was BA I would be looking for a fresh start and the captain would either be -
    Watmough or Peats.

We need an inspirational leader and those two fit the bill perfectly.
  • LOL I have said the same thing ages ago and got ridiculed and one even said did it matter who the captain was, IMO Cayless was never a real captain anyway he didn't have the mouth, we need an organiser hooker ar halfback would be my choice but I don't think Sandow is captain material either!

    peats maybe?
    • Peats for Captain for me thanks. he's a winner.

  • No I agree. Mannah for next year and Foran then to take over.

  • Probably Watmough given his experience in the game and the fact he has been around for a while. We need someone like Watmough who isn't afraid to approach referees like Smith and Ennis do (without their arrogant attitude of course), and also rev the troops up to lift their heads and dig in deep when things are going against us.
  • Mannah until Wattmough has been here long enough to be captain without causing issues.
    Minimum 1 year

Need to have a representative as captain that the refs will respect
Watmough may be our only option
  • Sefa as he is BA's lover

"He got wider in attack, particularly towards Mam side of the field that helped him poke the nose through and make metres. Brisbane were back peddling the whole second half bar one set on our own line where Samrani stayed down and Reynolds went off."

"De Belin looked way better in his 2nd stint. But his sole purpose is defence, in that portion of the game where Brisbane middles tried to wrestle back momentum in the middle he was solid in defence. "
