2015

2015 looks like a very interesting season for us. The extent of recent changes made to our playing, coaching & admin roster will for better or worse probably manifest itself in 2015.

The USA trip is an indicator of change. An apparent focus for the club to become more professional.

2015:

Our first season without Hayne.

Big changes to our playing roster with 9 new recruits thus far.

A focus on the FG team being tougher & more physical.

The impact of Choc on our young guns.

What role will Crappy Joe play in the team?

What will our 2015 pack generally look like?

Will our halves stand up without Hayne around?

Is Dozy Norman really capable of being the FG no6?

Will Sandow earn being re-signed & establish himself as our no7 for the foreseeable future?

Will Hoppa be successful as our FG FB?

What will be the make up be of our 2015 3/4 back line & how will they shape up?

What an interesting & challenging 2015 season looms ahead. We r only just starting the pre-season yet there is so much to look forward to.

I might be in the minority here but i think we will be a better "team" without hayne. Lets not forget we lost peats and mau for most of last year aswell and with both of them in the team with choc, expect a much improved eels defence. Im also tipping faaoso to have an impact for us much like galavao did in 09

  How is it nonsense Brett. It's called a team mate. Which is only as good as the sum of it's parts. A team is only as strong as it's weakest link.without Hayne ,I believe we are required to play more as a unit , a team. Parra in the last decade has relied on individuals to carry other members of the side. Hayne taking up a large part of the salary cap and being such a dominant part of our attack we haven't operated as a cohesive squad. At the end of this year BA gets to have a side he has manufactured . I'm hoping his vision comes to fruition a year early.

yes i agree all the players will have to dig in to secure there place in the team , also we have more speed in the back line , im getting the feeling sandow and norman will get it together this season , i wonder who will be our goal kicker will be and watto will teach the young forwards i hope pauli pauli comes on this season as he could be anything if his improves his speed and mongrel

I'm hearing Danny Wicks has been topping the charts in Strength and wrestling tests.
Should be included in the 17, may even be a starter come round 1.
