Ok .. This is a topic that ive been very curious about, Our backline for next year, So now if SK wants to keep hayne at fullback let it be so, Just to name the backs that have played first grade now and who could crack it:
- Jarryd Hayne (Fullback)
- Luke Burt (Wing)
- Eric Grothe (Wing)
- Timana Tahu (Centre)
- Joel Reddy (Centre)
- Jordan Atkins (Wing)
- Jacob Loko (Centre)
- Ken Sio (Wing)
- Chris Walker (Wing)
I wonder whose gonna go where and If were gonna give Atkins an oppurtunity in the first place .. I'd just like to see your thoughts on what would be next years backline and If an injury happens what do we do ?
And now we add Walker.

He's still young, and will most probably need some more consistent footy in the NSW Cup before he is definitively ready to have a crack in first-grade.
Purely on the back-line, and solely based on the players we currently have at our disposal, the back-line I'd most likely go with myself would be as follows:
Jarryd Hayne
Luke Burt
Timana Tahu
Joel Reddy (provided he starts the season)
Eric Grothe
It's what we've seen before, and when they're all on song, they're all fantastic to watch.
we are very light on in the centres
i think we are one quality centre short - hopefully tonga can fill that void
He may have scored that try on debut yes, and whilst it was a good try, I've seen better.
He has potential, but he's lacked the consistency in his game on a regular basis, and doesn't score nearly as often as he should.
There's a few other areas he needs drastic improvement on, and whilst I don't have all of those in my head right now, based on the season that he's had, there will have to be improvement.
On Sio, obviously if injuries occur, and we're lacking any more experienced first-graders to fill whatever void may be left, then yes, both Sio and Loko would no doubt come in and play until those injured players are fully recuperated.
I think for Maitua, he might just start off the bench upon his return, to possibly come into the second row, but at the same time, he'll bring a utility value that we don't quite have at the club.
So in a sense, it'll be almost like having two utilities off the bench in 2011, albeit having the ability to play in different positions.

Atkins wouldn't be on a whole heap of money, as he isn't quite an established first-grader as such, thus he wouldn't command large sums of money.
