2009 Run Needed to Make the Finals

After our loss to Canberra on Saturday it is going to take a similar run to the 1 that occured in 2009 in order to make the finals. The team seems to look like it is beginning to gel and I believe that we can make the finals this year. Our attack is the thing that is letting us down but Hayne is beginning to make an impact. We do need to move away from our structured game plan a little bit so that it gives Hayne more room to run the ball. The main feature of our run in 2009 was our second phase play and the way we ran teams off their feet. Kearney has to allow players to offload when they can and we began to do that against Manly. Hopefully we hit some form and have another run into the finals. Judging by the stats comparison we can do it.

  • pull ur head out of ur a**, this year was already known to be a rebuilding year, if i was osbourne i wud of announced it, we need to look to the future, and we are, hayne is obviously a 6 by next year, NYC players have been locked upto long term contracts, and the future is looking bright as for now, just enjoy the games you watch, but dont have these delusions of final dreams
  • Are you a true believer? Many people questioned our form back in 2009 and we made the Grand Final. We haven't been playing that badly and we deserved more than the 1 point over the past 3 weeks. I still believe that we can make it. Back in 2009 I sat and watched us get beaten by the Sharks 13-10. I turned up a few weeks later and watched us beat Melbourne. For that entire season I believed we had a chance and this season I still do think we can do it. We are only 3 points out of the 8 and with such a tight competition a couple of wins we can get into the 8. All we need is consistent performances and there is every chance we will get into the finals. I can pretty much guarantee that if we make the finals you will jump on the bandwagon and wear your colours proud.
  • We're second-last for tries scored.

    We're third-last for points conceeded.

    We're second-last for line breaks.

    We're last for offloads.

    We're last for tackle breaks.

    We're third-last for metres run.

    We're last for metres-per-run.

Judging by the stats comparison, we're not going anywhere fast.

  • Exactly Tom Mus

    Stats say it all

Not sure who offered more in financials though. "
