A nice write up on Wiremu Greig for 2022, he is exactly the type of player needed in 2022. Off the bench impact, in the past the forwards Parramatta have liked and played are workhorse props that can play big minutes and tackle all day and take endless runs, Paulo is the exception as a big bodied ball player. Greig is different, more in a Mark Tookey or Fuifui Moimoi mold, of course not saying he is or will be up to the calibar of those players but a big body that comes on defends well but offers big post contact metres in the middle is what's needed for us, especially off the bench.
From the look of him in pre-season he has seemed to taken off a few kg's especially off around his stomach area, now a full Parramatta pre-season is what is needed we all knew that. Parramatta and BA love him but he was not fit enough to play consistently, now it looks like he is being conditioned to. Look for Greig to be our most improved, get a new deal and to cement a 17 spot for most of the year in 2022.

Spot on slugg ... he looked aggressive at least. Good sign for a young fella
I'm pretty excited to see this type of player on the team. Tookey and Fui were my favorites during our best era's, I hope Greig can find the same form.
Lub this fella! Harry Hardknuckle type....an honour bestowed if he gets anywhere near Fui.
you all prob heard that fable out of Rabbits when Fui only trained for 8 minutes and walked off. Coach yells where do you think you're going! To which Fui replies.....'Fui play 8 minutes...Fui train 8 minutes
Yep, that incident was the catalyst for him joining the Eels.
I am looking forward to him getting more game time and hopefully cementing a spot in the top grade.
Even moreso, I am hoping he is going to be part of the sucession plan to Gillard and Paulo.
He definitely has the potential, now he just needs to get his body right for week in, week out top grade competition.
