1Eyed Eel Guidelines

With the number of members and activity already this year, there are some simple guidelines that apply to anyone who wishes to post on this website.
These are guidelines we ask you read and be familiar with.
We dont wish to be censoring every post, so we ask if everyone could kindly consider the content you choose to post.

For the greater part, everyone does the right thing so thankyou.

Im all for spirited debate, but abuse will not be tolerated! Such comments will be deleted.

1. Do not abuse, threaten or harass other 1Eyed Eel members, regardless of whether they agree or disagree with you
2. Limit swearing. Before you use any language that might be deemed offensive, keep in mind we do have some younger Eels fans on the site,
and ask yourself is it really needed.
3. Never sexually harass any 1Eyed Eel members. Every female member of the site should feel like this is a safe, non-threatening environment
4. If you're going to criticise the players, club, officials, coach then it must be argued in a rational, reasonable fashion. Simply saying
'such and such' is a $#%# is not on.
5. No thoughtless trolling from non-Eels fans. Again, if you're going to come onto this site and start bagging our club, it better be extremely
well thought out and reasonable debate. And equally, I remind you that the quickest way to get rid of something you don't want to read is simply
not to reply and watch it quickly slip away in the archives.
6. Videos, pictures and avatars should not be offensive; ie depicting nudity, sexual acts, etc.
7. No defamatory or libellous remarks

"Mitch said he has learnt more in 7months from JR s staff than what he did from Ba staff. The team has improved a lot since round 1. The major concern is the injuries."

1Eyed has appointed some assistants to ensure the above guidelines are followed. If you don't want to adhere to the guidelines then you are free to visit another Eels supporter site instead.

Daneel, I agree totally with the above, but I for one don't mind if I was sexually harassed now and then... just not when the footy is on : )

  Guys, my point in case exactly. I post a Blog that clearly states guidelines, yet people post responses that include obvious offence or intention to cause a reaction.
  I'll pick on you here Billblogs (only to make my point.. nothing personal mate) "Mutenchops missus and kid look like something floating off Bondi!" & "Just admit the team you follow is absolute shit" & "Parraboomboomboom... Pathetic and obviously a very dull life". Is any of that actually necessary?

    They seem like very reasonable guidelines, for any rational person.
    That last part may be hard for some, but the bottom line is the majority of us support Daneel, 1Eyed and any other moderators in the carrying out of their duties in keeping this site as a place for honest, informed and robust discussion.
