14pt. Same amount of points than all of 2018.

Well, it has taken until round 14 but we have finally equalled the amount of points we finished with in season 2018.
An improvement obviously.
We have won half our games. With 11 games remaining, at this rate I think we'll finish with around 22-24 points (including bye) . Not good enough to make the 8.
We're roughly twice as good as we were last year. Unfortunately, twice as good isn't good enough. To be a real premiership threat we need to be 4 times better. The Warriors rounded out the 8 last year on 32pts.

  • "at this rate I think we'll finish with around 20- 22 points."

We have a bye coming up, so that puts us on 16pts.

So you think we'll only win 2 or 3 of the last 11?

I think with 5 home games left, we'll hit 26pts at least. But that won't be enough to make the top 8.

    • 26pts will get you in the 8 depending on for and against, 28pts will secure you a spot in the 8 imo. Judging by the inconsistency from the teams 7th-12th all around that 8th spot I think 28pts will be enough.

    • After 14 rounds we're on 14pts.

So yes, 'at this rate' after 25 rounds we'll be on 24pts (Including Bye). I could say 26 but I'm an Eels supporter and have been let down too much. Either way, I'm not sure 26 or 28 will get you in the 8.

  • It's a particularly tight competition this year, so I think 28 points will be enough.

I think we're absolutely specials to make the eight. We have a bye and five home games, plus the Tigers at Bankwest. We have away games against the Titans, Manly, St George and Brisbane. The next game against the Raiders is going to be critical - they are the last top six team we play and if we get those points we'll be firmly in the eight coming into the Tigers Bankwest game.

Dylan Brown will make the same kind of difference to this side, as Nathan Brown has already made to the pack. Those two guys are absolutely key and we'll get back to that early season form if we can keep everyone healthy. I'm tipping us to finish on 32 points.

  • Semi finals playing Storm in Melb on Sunday like we did 2017. Payback time? That probably won't happen in the 1st semi as we will probably be playing one of the bottom 4 in the top 8, Sharks, Raiders, Dragons, Knights, Tigers, Warriors, Sea Eagles, Cowgirls, Bronkets, Panthers???
