11 wins could be enough.

I already mentioned this in a thread yesterday, but I just keep getting frustrated seeing news articles talking about us needing 12 wins from 15 games and saying it's impossible, when it's not entirely accurate.

Yes, most years the cutoff for the top 8 is 28 points. But with the eels being stripped of 12 points, this year is no longer your usual year. Look at last year for example, and surely enough the team in 8th finished on 28 points. But if, like this year one of those teams in the top 8 were stripped of 12 points, all of a sudden, 8th place has 26 points and it's a whole different story. It has actually been the case for 3 of the past 5 years by my calculations, so it's not like it's some anomaly either.

Just food for thought.

P.s maybe I'm just being an idiot?

    • How is it any different? Look at the broncos/cowboys last year, finished on 38 points with 17 wins, if they were stripped of 12 points they still make the 8 on 26 points. How is that any different to our situation this year?

  • Undefeated season starting Friday week. :)
  • 14 wins isn't going to be enough because I'm pretty sure none of them at gonna count
  • Do we still get 4 points from the 2 byes?? LOL
