  Standard contract allows a five day cooling off period (changed after DCE fiasco, I believe) but the player can waive it and he did that in this instance

  He waived the cooling off period. As discussed in other blogs.

  Their boss stated it was a 5 day cooling off period and jarryd chose to waive that which players apparently have the right to do.

  I was under the impression that there was just the 10 day cooling off option,  but there seems to be also a 5 day cooling off period or no cooling off period at all.

  obviously waived it as he knew he'd start to have doubts given he has the propensity to change his mind a bit.

  I reckon Beavis/ and the GC would have had a very strong I input into 'encouraging' a no cool off. After the DCE thing and JH obvious buyers remorse think it was just as well for GC I really do.
