1.2 billion dollars

I was blown away by the awesome halftime entertainment on Saturday. As if watching the players wasn't bad enough, four people dressed up in crocodile suits placed hula hoops on the ground and commenced stealing each other's crocodiles eggs (footballs). A gentleman then kicked a footballin front of the goal posts, so he could win tickets to the golf day.The NRL collected about 1.2 billion dollars this year for the broadcast rights.Seeing as the football is crap at least give us something for our money.

  • I agree, halftime entertainment stinks, it has been for sometime. They need a major overhaul and thought into entertainment. I Wouldn't know how to address the issue.
  • Agree half time entertainments always been embarrassing.

Id rather see catch the greasy pig comp, where you let all the little kids on the park and they have to chase a little greasy piglet in an eels jersey around the park, thats good entertainment, its free and gets all the kids involved, apart from the muslim kids that is.

    • They can just chase a greased up Jew.

  • Yeah they got $1.2 billion but at least Smith has enough support staff now.

Nothing quite like not having enough people to shield you from actually having to do some work.

And the NRL commission. What a joke that is. Jobs for the boys. The players make the game what it is and they should get a bigger slice of the pie not these vultures in suits.

  • It's been poor that's for sure. The Seattle trip provided management an opportunity to explore match day experience with NFL clubs. The top-secret members forum had a priority to improve fans match day experience. So far I haven't seen anything of note. And please can we fix the PA system. It's terrible. I can't understand what people are saying.
  • I took my niece and nephew to the game and i was very impressed with the kids area.
I don't give a toss about the Halftime show as that's time to get a drink or go to the dunny. I remember as a kid doing a relay at halftime against other teams i reckon just do that.
  • Wow, you think that's bad..... I saw Raiders Vs. Dragons in Canberra last year. The half time entertainment was the McDonalds mascots (Ronald, the bird thing, purple one and hambugler) racing each other over the length of the field. It was the sh*test thing I have ever seen....

    • FYI the purple one is Grimace...
    • Who won, my money is on Ronald?
  • I agree the sound is terrible. I was trying with all my might to understand who was raising the flag - still don't know. Yeah, half time was average. But outside was awesome for the kids.
