So what does the Brisbane loss (heartbreaking loss at that) really now mean? Given we have Manly next week, there’s a very real likelihood we’re going into the finals having lost 3 in a row. Can’t be good for morale, confidence and therefore, form.
Surely there’s no worse to time to play a top 8 side than the week 1 elimination game of the finals!!
god help us!

I said after the Dogs game we won't win another game all season. Limping into the finals and out in week 1 is hardly anything to get excited about. But but but but we didn't win the spoon......
what a fizzer of an ending to the season....
Do t worry it be all over in two weeks eeks we be having a mad Monday after the first week of the finals we be 0 from 4 so i hope we all injoy our last win against the titans for the year
I think last night showed that we can win against a good side.Brisbane played really well and we were average, really missing NBrowns ball playing. Play 100% and we can win
Rember Broncos were missin 3 top first graders.
It was a great game, a penalty to Brisbane from a forward pass, A few missed penalties, a forward pass called, gee that game could have easily being ours. We didn't get flogged, we didn't play like crap, give them some credit, the team played great, Brisbane played great. I think we will beat Manly at home next week.
I hate to say it but I think the Eels will get beaten easily next week by Manly and bow out the week after. It has been a much improved season from the one before though and good on BA for that but we are still missing another decent forward or two and Taka, Alvaro Jennings shouldn't be offered anything more than one year contracts if anything.
If the Eels don't recruit well in the off season or take a chance and promote some juniors, they will go backwards next year without Mau.
Can you imagine what it would be like being in the trenches with or sitting next to some of these blokes at a football game
What have you seen from this team or coach to suggest we will be a force come finals time??? We had 55% of the ball against a side with just one attacking threat and missed 40 tackles. Sorry for being a realist.
never said we haven't improved becasue we have, but we need to continue to improve the squad unlike 2017 where we didn't and paid the price with a spoon. I just can't see us ever being a serious contender with BA in charge, The team still is dumb and makes basic mistakes and when the pressure goes on by decent teams we go to water. It's a very soft comp this year besides the top 5 the rest are bog average and there isn't a lot between 6th to 14th.
