EELS SIGN ANOTHER

Parramatta have signed Canberra halfback Mitch Cornish for 2016.

The 22-year-old’s manager confirmed to foxsports.com.au that Cornish has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Eels.

With the Raiders not interested in re-signing the Goulburn product, the Eels threw Cornish a lifeline, with the Junior Kangaroo to play understudy to Kieran Foran and Corey Norman.

  • Solid back up, good signing
  • Booooom. Exciting signing at 22, has more talent in his little finger than our current backup half.

Wouldn't surprise if Cornish partners Foran in the middle and Norman to 1 at some stage.

Boom - the chief called this one 100% on Monday. Thx
    • Chief I like your work mate hahha!! When is Tanginoa announced?
    • To be fair I think everyone knew it was going to happen by that stage.
  • Kelly and Cornish a scintillating wenty combo
  • Do we need a gun centre most of you say yes but I think Faraimo is our guy Folau is to young & unmotivated. Morgan gets the job done but sometimes poorly. With Robbo & Hoppa gone our right side attack won't be much of an attack but defensively a good spot. Scott on the right side will help Faraimo & French hopefully. Faraimo can become the next Justin Hodges he is powerful from dummy half as shown this year got good passing to with Frenchs speed out right it's not that bad. Though back to the headline I'm glad about this signing great back-up half to Foz & Noz. Pretty sure we will be seeing him the blue & gold though sometimes through the season
    • Mate Faraimo at centre, a position he has never played and Beven French on the wing would be a gong show.

Leave Faraimo on the wing, he does a very good job there. Lets not rush French. I haven't seen a lot of him but if we nurture him into first grade he'll be a much better player for it.

  • Chief you have any idea who the " we will be presently surprised" Centre is?
  • Tanginoa, at this stage, should be announced sometime soon as well.

  • Good opportunity for him to play understudy to a couple of world class halves  :)

Will be interesting to watch his progress.

Welcome to the Mighty Eels Pastie  :)
